I love to travel, to see new places, and to experience new and familiar cultures. As I travel, I try to find places and moments that catch my eye. There are always the grand monuments that we can find numerous photos of (far better than my own), but there are fewer photos of the places and moments that cause us to make a connection.

Whenever I travel, I have my sketchbook along with me. I believe that we make stronger connections with our surroundings when we stop to really observe.

Do you carry a sketchbook with you when you travel? Try it next time and put aside some time to draw what you see, to absorb where you are, and cement that moment into your memory.
